Our objective with EQ Inspiration is to improve equality in tech by including the men in the conversation. After massive amounts of information, both statistics and eye opening stories by our speakers, we talked, made new friends, and built new bridges across the gap.

Our first EQ Inspiration was a success! With expert speakers and women and men role models sharing their experiences and stories supporting equality in tech.
Lars Einar Engström
Lars has written and lectured about sexism for 15 years. His support and participation at the event was important as he's got extensive experience in working with men with all levels of understanding and interest in the topic.
Noni shared her career journey and the importance of support. "You have to work for it," she says. "You build a relationship with your sponsor who can make you visible higher up in the organization."
Dale Thomas Vaughn
Dale from the Gender Leadership Group shared the latest stats from the new McKinsey & LeanIn report, as well as offered suggestions to how we can achieve change.
We had 40% men at EQ Inspiration this time. Millenials, x-ers, and boomers.

Anita and Chris
I was taken aback when Anita told us that she is the 11th African-American woman in the US to raise over $1M in funding. She is the CEO of Oneva, and Chris Yeh of Wasabi Partners invested in her company. Chris' continuous support and sponsorship has been important for Anita in growing her business. Her optimism as a female founder makes her a role model for all women who are considering starting up.
